About me...

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by all things pregnancy and birth! In 2021 I began my midwifery degree and spent 3 years working in one of the busiest maternity hospitals in the North West. As I am no longer in the midwifery profession, I did not want my passion to end there so I decided to qualify as a doula! In June 2024 I completed my course with the Doula Training Foundation, which is a Doula UK accredited course.

I have found that my knowledge from working within many specialisms has made my love for birth even stronger. I am devoted to making every woman's experience in the maternity setting as positive as possible, however you decide to birth!

When working within the NHS, I noticed that due to how busy healthcare workers are, there is a massive gap in the emotional support that women are entitled to. As a doula, I want to fill that gap, ensuring that you are empowered, well informed and feel confident in your choices.

No one can guarantee a perfect birthing experience or a smooth journey into becoming a mother but it is my job to ensure you feel supported and listened to. I will tailor all my support to your own needs as there is a no-size-fits-all!

At your birth, I can be as hands on as you want me to be. I can be there to help your partner to support you or if you don't have a birth partner I can take that place. However, I will never be providing any clinical care as I am not a medical professional - I am purely there to support you, empower you and ensure your preferences are followed.

During my midwifery degree, I regularly undertook UNICEF baby-friendly training and have lots of experience in supporting breastfeeding so I am well equipped to prepare you for breastfeeding during pregnancy and I can also provide breastfeeding support postnatally as part of your care. I am also experienced in other forms of infant feeding and will support you with whatever you choose to do.

If you decide to work with me, it will be my pleasure to advocate for you and ensure you have the most positive experience possible!
